Womanizer로 암흑기를 끊어내고 화려한 컴백에 성공한 브리트니가 다음 타자로 공개한 싱글이다. 'Womanizer'의 화제성에 힘입어 빌보드 핫 100 3위까지 오르고, 전세계적으로 600만 건 이상의 디지털 음원을 판매하는 등 연속 흥행에 성공했다.
그녀의 정규 6집 Circus의 핵심이 되는 곡이기도 하다. 브리트니는 이 노래를 들은 뒤 앨범 전체를 서커스를 테마로 꾸미고 싶었다고 한다. 가사의 내용에서 '서커스'는 '가수로서 브리트니 스피어스의 인생'을 의미한다는 점에서 굉장히 뜻 깊게 다가왔던 듯.
